Kelly, When you replace the gears, Try ger a complete set from another tractor. My reasoning in this is from an incident many yrs ago my Dad bought an ol H that 4 th gear was out of it. After numerious times of taking the trans apart and putting it back together again. Dad and I couldn't get a very loud whine out of it. We shipped it to the parts yard. It was no where near a perfect tractor. It had been " Rode hard....and Put up very wet! Anyway, My $.02. Good Luck, John A.
