The 806 diesel used the D-361 engine. These are almost bulletproof if you take care of them. I know of several that have over 10K hours on them and have not been "touched" yet. I have seen atleast 4 of the Farmall 806 diesels that have over 20K hours on them that have NEVER been overhauled and still run strong. With proper care, almost any tractor engine can have a long life.
