Is this because they{ Farmall] did not up date the manuals for the 1954 tractors? I have a SMTA lp { S# 62459DS} that I pursed in Tx. The owner said he bought it new in 54{he is 68}with the lp on the tractor. Is there anyone that owens a smta lp with the corret lettering on the serial # plate? and wich is the corret way for the fuel tank to sit? N. S. or E. W. sitting on it? Thanks Stew
