I know it was sopposed to take touch control fluid or Hytran these days . In fact I have been using that ever since I restored the tractor. I worked as a mechanic at a case international dealer till last year when we moved and honestly I was never really convinced about the benefits of hytran but I guess I had to do just as many repairs on machines with oil in them too like some of the david browns and the little skid steers that case used to make. Their hydraulic systems were a real pain. I just read that other thread where the poster was saying use motor oil in them and got to wondering. I won't deal with the IH dealer here. They are rude, overpriced , and refuse to order parts for my super c even if I give them the current part number and everything. Luckily I left the dealer I worked at in pennsylvania on good terms and they will send me parts when I need them. I guess I better call them and order some hytran.
