Jenc: These plow days can be a lot of fun, very educational also. I strongly recomend especially if you are a guy new to plowing, get involved. Plowing is a lot more complicated than a lot of people believe. If you are an old pro also get out there and give the new guys advice. For the most part they are wanting to do it right. Moldboard plowing could become a lost art, what with no-till planting and chisel plowing. I have always liked driving the country side looking at the fine jobs of plowing. Good moldboard plowing is the beginning process of creating a smooth seed bed. I can tell you that has deteriorated over the past 50 years, in spite of sophisticated equipment.
