We bought a W4 from the original owner,,its a 1948. It has a starter on it but has never been used. The guy said they bought it and it was delivered in the winter, battery froze and broke and they couldnt afford to buy a battery after spending all the money on the tractor and such (maybe he is pullin my leg here) But anyway, I need to repair the starter , I took the battery box off and the 2 bolts out of the starter, but I see no way of getting it out, the rear of the starter hits the transmission housing before the starter nose is out of the hole,,,any ideas???? Anyone wanna buy a W4 that needs starter work? ,,,,Jim
