On gas you should drain all and start with fresh, but first a cleaning will be in order. Stale gas tends to turn kind of like shelac or varnish in carb so it should be taken off and cleaned well and possibly a new kit added. Under the fuel tank should be a sedment bowl. If you remove that bowl there is a gasget and above that a screen. I have seen the screens seal off with shelac just sitting over winter. I would install a new gasget and screen regardless.

On age of tractor, you turn to left of screen and under Research & Info click on serial numbers, from there click on Farmall, the various models will come up, click on whatever you wish to check. Farmall A were built from 1939 to 1947 and Super A from 1947 to 1954. If you serial number is over 250001 tractor is definately a Super A

You come back with type of ignition and someone will be on deck to help with that. One other item, old Farmalls that have been sitting for sometime, the very best way to start is by towing. If you do that keep it under 10 mph and use high gear. I have seen guys tinker all day wth these trying to get them going. Tow them 25' and they fire right up. I remember a neighbor had a fleet of old Farmalls he only used for haying, then back in shed until next season. In spring he didn't even try the starter, just tow started them all, let them run for an hour or so to get batteries charged and engine limbered up, and he was away for season.
