If your oil is at all milky you need to check for a coolant leak. Common problems are the cyl o rings and head gaskets. There is no reason water can come from the outside unless it was stored outside with the hood off durring a hurricane. Well water can get in easier than that but not normaly.
I use Delo 30 weight oil in my super c, 300 and h. Normaly I use 15w40 in everything else and even in the winter it is fine. I tried 10w30 once and it is just too thin for the tractors. My super c and H are both freshly rebuilt engines that hold 60 psi on 30 wt no matter the temp but drop off some on multigrade. Delo is a heavy duty detergent oil designed for 2 stroke diesel trucks so it is good. detroit recommends 40 weight now for their older engines mostly because of the blower seals leaking on the lighter 30 weight. Farmall recommended 30 wt in theirs so that is what I use.It works good too. I have had the temps down to 30 below before we moved here and it never had a problem. Just let it warm up slow. I usualy hand crank the c anyway so I just give it a few cranks with the ignition off to get the oil going first if it is real cold.
