Assuming you don't have a cloud of blue smoke, you're probably just running way too rich, and should try adjusting your carb. Main jet screw is the one at the front of the carb. Back off the packing nut, and turn it in (gently) until it bottoms out; then back one full turn, or a bit more if needed to make the engine run smoothly, and retighten the packing nut. As bad as your symptoms are, you'll probably end up rebuilding your carb. But try this first. Good luck.
