Lack of Respect, revisited

I have learned that a five wire fence works pretty good to keep the ATVers and picnickers out of fields. My biggest problem are these so called hunters ignoring the POSTED signs. Five years ago on the first day of deer season I found both my dogs shot to death behind a pond bank. Two years ago I watched two "hunters" cross the fence and walk up a draw within 75-100 yards of the house. About then the dog took out after them. One of the hunters shot him and the two turned to head back, a 7MM Rem Mag whistling over their heads stopped them. I approached them with rifle and shovel and disarmed them. I think they where sure they where digging their own grave until I threw the dog in and told them to cover him. I also told them if they wanted their shotguns back to have the sheriff come get them, they where not leaving my property armed. I still have their DLs and the shotguns are hanging in the shop with welded receivers and the barrels bent at 90 angles. It still gets me going when I think about how upset my then three year old was when I told him his dog was dead.
