BEEN THERE -- DONE THAT!!!!!! There are so many things that can cause an engine to be stuck that there is no ONE set way to get an engine unstuck.

One thing for sure I would not recomend pulling the tractor and popping the clutch. You will do way more damage than good.

The first thing to do is tear into it and determine what the culprit is that caused it to be stuck. Since neither tractor is yours yet this is just about impossable.

1. Pull the plugs and check for water and rust.
2. Check the oil for water, metal and other foreign materials.
3. Pull the starter to make sure it is not the problem (jamed in the ring gear)
4. Ask the owner to see what he says is the problem.

After you know these things someone here will probably be able to give you some good advise.

My personal experience is that it is best to pull the head and the pan and then go from there.

GOOD LUCK Super M's are great tractors.
