I received the following response from ytmag.com (which is still Kim, I guess): Dick, posting messages with internet links to commercial or business sites is discouraged. This is considered advertising. However, discussing other vendors and businesses isn't a problem. Do you still feel this is an unfair tactic? While voluntary contributions help to keep us afloat, we also have vendors/advertisers that pay us to sell parts and supplies here. This is our main source of income, as our cost of running the site is several thousand dollars each month. In order to keep our paying advertisers, we need to keep links to outside vendors to a minimum. Otherwise there is no reason for anyone to pay for advertising - they could get it free in the forums. We are trying to survive in this economy, like everyone else. However we don't want to go overboard... so if you have any ideas please let us know. Most people seem to want to call us names and make rude remarks, as if our families and livelihood don't matter. We are open to suggestions, if you can make them kindly. Thanks for writing, The Folks at YT
