JB, Use the racer's trick of putting a lump of modeling clay (or your kid's Play-Doh) on top of a piston (be sure it's at TDC) and bolt the head down. Remove the head and see where the closest interference point is. If you leave at lease .020" of clearance you should be ok. For pump gas, you should be ok as long as the compression ratio stays below 10:1. The external parts should be ok, but if necessary, the carb flange could be milled the same amount as the head, cancelling out the change in relative positions. I doubt you'll be milling the head over about .050" anyway. Phil
