haas, as it all correct ! just recently did mine, you mentioned that you were going to replace the bearing also, I would check the old bearing , and if there is no play in the shaft I would definetly leave it alone, this bearing is somewhat pressed onto the shaft and you will have a large amount of time and frustartion in replacing it, if its not bad I would let it go, I am restoring my 41 A and have replaced every seal and gasket on it, in doing this I didi not find one bad bearing, the bearings that they used back then will take alot more abuse than what they use today, I had to beat many of these bearings with a sledge hammer to get them off of shafts, and there was still no harm done to them. good luck, Jonathan Mirgon
