The 484 were made from 1978 to 1984/early 1985 They where and are made in Doncaster,England. They are darn good tractors as all of the family is. 84,85,95,3200/4200,C, CX series. As far as the 484 is concerned that you are looking at is the gear shift lever in a H pattern or is it inline with the sheet metal notches. If it is the late model it will have the H pattern shifter. The 484 is 42 pto hp, 3 cylinder 8x4 transmission. It is not a 1986 model it would have to be a 485 CASEIH for that year. You can still buy the 484 in a new tractor except for the motor. Its the McCormick C50. The engine in the 484 is the German Nuess built engine 179 cid
