Been a while since I posted. I left off last fall working on trying to make my L59's belt drive a two belt system as the mower seems to get removed after every mowing so I can do something else. I am ready to give up on the belts as the belt alignment is a real nightmare with the drive belt. Considering going to a shaft drive. That would be expensive up-front for the right angle gear boxes but would be a breeze to take a PTO shaft on and off instead off a belt. My question involves a hydraulic motor I already have. Are the hydraulics on a '59 140 strong enough to run the mower via hydraulic motor? Sorry so long. Thanks in advance.
