I have seen many young men and women on this net discussing tractors. My nephew came here this weekend. He said that he wished that he had an old tractor to restore. He is 16 yrs old. Why can't we get people to donate the old tractors to schools instead of rusting away. I see old equipment in people's yards, for decoration, rotting away because they think that it is "CHIC", (or any other weak word), to have it old and rusted. This is where the equipment is going. For every piece that is used here, 10 pieces are rotting away as decoration. Why can't the vo-ag schools offer to restore on the pretense that the students benefit from the education and the people benefit from the restoration. The kids are not going to be interested until they see that we are interested. Like the example of my nephew this weekend. It's like fishing, gotta look for nibbles before the bites.
