You could have gone with the sealded power (federal mogul) manufacture pistons that are identical to the H firecraters and cheaper. But since you are going to use a kero/distillate head the firecraters and other High altitude, high compression gasoline pistons won't help much. I would have suggested using a high altitude piston for the fuel type of head you are using (5,000' kero pistons are 8,000' gas pistons), and you would have realized more power. If you are going to use a 300/350 LP head, you will probably have to check to make sure that the piston has clearance with the top of the combustion chamber. A lot of things to be considered. As far as prices: pistons and sleeves (Sealed power Firecraters $350/set) (high altitude kero 3 3/8 bore $275), Bearings $90 for a set of 0.030 rods and mains, Gasket set ~ $85-90, Valves: depends on your cylinder head (probably better check to make sure you recieved the correct valves with the set)..
