CNKS, There is a small gear case at the bottom of the steering shaft that contains(ed) oil. I was trying to remove the steering wheel by turning two bolts into the threaded holes on the steering wheel. I cleaned out the holes and proceeded to tighten on them(They should force the steering wheel shaft away from the steering wheel) If I am not mistaken it is a conical shaped splined shaft on the steering shaft which mates up to the steering wheel. WWhen I had what I thought was plenty of preesure on those two bolts I started to hit them with the hammer to try to jolt them free. I understand damage occurs with excessive force, so I didn't use any (so I thought) A couple minues later I had this BLACK stream running down the clutch housing. I had recently replaced all hydraulic oil. As I removed this entire steering system I figured out where the hyd system connects to the steering. But there still is the gearcase that needs lube. What type of puller should I use? I think a puller will just break apart the plastic steering wheel, unless my vision of a puller is not correct. I'll try to post a pic later! Butch
