I have the letter series book by guy and it is a real good book, it gives a lot of info about them. But one thing supprises me. When I go to look up where my h was made, it says unkown. Some one must know where the all the diffrent models were made, i mean there are people still alive from that time peroid but all the reserch i have done whether it be internet or books no one will say forsure where the H and M were made. I was wondering whar tractors came out of farmall works rock island and chicago, and others. I have seen alot of rock island pictures and i know they even had there own doctors office on site. i know louisville was call "largest tractor factory in the world" it seams there is good info about that plant. Guy, I would think would have the answer or at least a good idea. When i answerd the question of the "L" code I thought he meant dates. Where are the factory codes? like on parts I commanly will see the letter "F" or "FF" guy did not go over this in his book. I wish he would wright another book or two. I seam to have farmall fever and have had it since i was 12 or 13 when i started to work on the farm and was called to drive. My wife wishes there was a cure. I told her when I die if the kids don't want my tractors she could sell them and live off the money. I plan to have 100 before i go. mabey more if i keep up the current trend. Sorry for the long post. but does any one know where the diffrent farmall models were made? anyone know all the diffrent plants? Thanks ahead of time

Today's Featured Article - New Life for an Old Allis - by Tyler Woods. My friend Jon, has an old '39 Allis Chalmers B. He thought it a marginal tractor that had long since served its time. She smoked terribly and never had much power but he couldn't afford another so he was limping along with what he had. Jon's Allis has a small front loader and though it doesn't carry much, it serves his needs. It was the hard starting and low power that made him think it was time to replace the old girl. Jon called me to help him discover why his tractor wouldn't start ... [Read Article]
