Did they make a high clearance M ??????

I forgot to mention something I saw while going to my ranch house today.
In my area we harvest allot of crawfish, rice, grow sugarcane, etc and it seems this calls for high clearance tractors. I passed by a farm today where a guy was using a Farmall in his rice feild. It caught my eye because it was indeed a Farmall and it looked to be an M size too.
Soon after another one came bounding over the levee farthest from the road like some giant red and brown rusty mudbug. Same kind, same model or whatever they are. They were'nt pretty and they needed paint jobs but they sure did boogie through the water and mud well! :)
Pretty neat to see these old machines still earning their keep but what struck me as odd was that they were big like an M with a low angle steering shaft but looked like high clearance units and they had a funny cast looking upside down U shaped front axle with struts and the suckers had final drives like a A,SA,100 too!!!!!! (:0 Pretty cool little machines! This dude has a couple of big modern all wheel drive tractors as well as some modern JD's but he also has a bunch of these things as well. I counted at least 5 similar units, some for parts it looked, behind his barn with some other junk. Are these some kind of conversion kits or a Hi-crop model or something. I may see if I can get one of his junkers from him. I probably wont use it if I can get one because of the hills and slopes on my place but man they sure do look neat and might be fun to play in the mud with!!!! :)
