Well for starters it is hard to damage the carb. just be careful of the venturi is stuck just be careful when taking it out. Take the carb apart and soak it in carb cleaner. Take and make sure all the jets are clean and you can see through them. take and use air pressure and blow out the passage ways in the carb. IF you buy a carb kit follow the directions and re-set the float to the correct level. Its prety straigt forward so just take to your time. Chad
