i would say the M AND H by far out shine any tractors ever made , seen many H,s used on the north dakota farms that pulled 3-14,s packer and press drill over hundreds of ackers was the M stronger yes but you could put a 11 or 12 year old up on an H and he could run it were the M was a bear ,that clutch and steering were terible. i have a 51 H with wide front end and live hyd, and 3-point i use a 10 foot ford disck on the back and somtimes if you raise it to fast the front wheels come of the ground,but never once does the tractor look over it,s shoulder and complaine about any thing, i think thats what i like about the M and H,s they just have no real up keep to them even after 60 years. have a 48 H at my cabin in northen michigan were we get over 200 inches of snow , have a 9 ft blade on the front have never been were i could not get in or out , look at some of my neigbors up ther that have 8-seies 600 or 800 fords all they doe is spin the wheels.have a 52 M and a super H that we use in the yard to junk cars with and never do they let us down , also have a 574 but if you over work it all it want,s to do cry all the time , yes i would think the M and H will be around for over 75 years and still do the work they were built for. my son just got a new Farmal DX-55 nice tractor but will it stand the test of time- i dont no.
