filling the tranny on and farmall A

for the life of me I can not remember I am trying to tell my dad over the phone how to do this. he has the gear lube drained out and the fill plug on the top out but isn't there a full level plug on the left side of the rear end that is the full level plug? pull it out and when the gear lube comes out it is full? I know my Cub is like that. Can anyone help me out? Chad
