I was just thinking about something and thought maybe one of you guys can enlighten me about something. I see a red cub in the photoads with a s/n 251,xxx. I have one that is 248,xxx. My question is, is there much difference in these mechanically (from the factory) other than paint?
I have seen a 1950 cub painted white, just because their number fell in the range for a demo, but with no evidence that it was a true demo. I was wondering why a guy can"t paint a yellow/white cub red, and then sell it for high dollar? I am NOT saying anything about that particular tractor..but I was just wondering what the differences are...maybe the carb? The head/pistons? I know these red IH cubs were the later ones, but I wonder what makes them different other than paint?
