The post about the SMTA's on this same page reminded me of an add on hydraulic reservoir that was on my Dad's SMTA when he got it. Someone had WELDED a round 2 gallon tank to the light bar with a hose going down to the filler plug on the factory reservoir. They did such a lousy job welding that tank on that I had to order a replacement light bar from a salvage yard. Some people have no respect for classic old iron. I know accidents happen but one other thing that really gets me is seeing a tractor, either old or newer, that has sheetmetal removed and lost or else just plain beat to smithereens. I remember one old farmer that had a battered 1256 and one day I saw him reach up and kill the throttle with tractor under full load in the field without clutching or anything, just shut the engine down from running full bore. Then he griped the tractor wasn't holding up and wanted to get rid of it.
