I recently bought a Farmall H 1947. The Temp Gauge was broke and I replaced it with a new one from an IH Dealer. I can pull a double Disc for a couple of Hours. and the Temp Gauge doesn't get off cold. Maybe I don't have a Thermostat. My Question is am I doing any Harm to the Tractor? Also do I need a Thermostat if that is the problem? What is the Thermostat #? Failed to mention that I paid $1000.00 for the Tractor, it is a wide Front end orginal. Thank You for any Help.
