Went to an auction today, a gentleman who was into Farmalls passed and his collection was being auctioned off. There were lots of tractor parts and not many tractor people. I got a crate of magneto's and distributor caps for 10.00 bucks. Two crates of starters for 7.50 each (about 10 starters). He had a trailer loaded with bigger parts that I got that had three engine blocks (H's I think), 1 M and two H transmission castings. Loads of miscellaneous parts like air filters, radiators, and one huge buzz saw. There were three H's and an A at the auction. Two restored H's that netted 1250 and 1100. And an unrestored 1940 H that is running and I was delighted to bring that home for 550.00. I believe that the A got 1150.00 and came with a cultivator and sickle bar mower. I have a lot of work cut out for me getting those blocks and castings home! -BTD
