I have received many suggestions through the discussion board in the past and they have been veery helpful. The tractor, an IH464 gasoline, has been a good tractor except for a problem that I cannoot resolve. I have changed carburetors, coils, condenser, points, plugs, fuel pump, and have found lots of minor problems, but the root problem is still there. The tractor will make what I would call a light popping noise as it occasionally will miss. It will do this at idle most of the time, and when using it in the field under load, it will occur after it warms up. It will purr like a kitten without a miss at all, and when it warms (heats) up, it will start this missing. Sometimes it is a single miss in the middle of running good, other times it may miss a couple of times or more. Could this be vapor lock, or does vapor lock shut it down? There is a gas line that runs next to the block and near the exhaust pipe (within an inch) when it nears the carburetor. I will try to reroute that feed and eliminate that as a possibility. Any suggestions (except just selling it in the Fall/Winter time !). Thanks. I appreciate anyones help or ideas. Gene
