Clutch Pedal locked in Reverse. Tractor would
not move. Shut tractor off and tapped clutch pedal
out of Reverse and now tractor will only engage
with 4 and 5th gear. The other gears won't work
Any suggestions. Will I need to take complete
top cover off to realign the gears??? Looks like
quite the job with seat and even gas tank bracket
extending on that platform.Any help would appreciated... This is my Farmall M Tractor

Followed your suggestions and removed shifter
and looking down tube were 3 channels. The channel
that runs the Reverse and First gear is moving
freely not attached to anything. I can take a screwdriver and move it back and forth and see
both ends which are not attached to anything. Now
the tractor is locked in lst gear I believe. If I put the shifter back and shift to 2,3,4,5 the tractor acts like its in two gears. Whats up??

I all ways thought that a clutch pedal hooked up to a clutch and a gear shift hooked up to the gears.
