You should get yourself a gas barrel and get it delivered in bulk. That way you would not hsve to pay the road tax. Would help some with the gas bill. You lucked out with the sunshine. It rained all day yesterday down here and washed my last 20 acres of 1st crop. Its been a long month trying to hay this year. The dairy farmers around here were chopping their 2nd crop last week! LOL.

I get up to the land after about 2 hrs road tripping. Was a nice ride. 706 ran perfect.

After I got there I raked up the hay and set about baling.

Action photo!!! 706 sure is a nice match for this NH850. Just purred along nice as can be. The rebuilt motor has power to spare for this job. 3/4 throttle to stay at 540 rpm on the pto even when full. Sure beats the heck out of using the 400 for this job. My 400 was crying wile trying to run this thing. Even blew out a pto unit on her.

Yea I know..... Seat shot!!!!!

1st bale. Not quite as nice looking as Allens chainer but they looked alot nicer as I figured it out. Maked big bales. If I could figure out a cheap way to unroll this mamoths into my square baler I think this is how I would put up the crop.

Atta Boy Kelly!

I just think you are doing an excellent job! I like the way you make this old machinery do it's job.

'Course, I'm a little biased towards the chainers too. I went straight from the end of a pitchfork to the round bales. What a jump in efficiency! :>)

Before I bought this last chainer, the chain had broke on the prior owner and had exited the machine taking the compression scissor with it. Consequently, and after his repair, the "full bale indicator" was all messed up.

Took me about 100 acres and half a dozen shear pins to get the "full bale size" thing figured out and honed down. :>)

Keep at it Pard, you're lookin' good!

Allan
