Just trying to finish up 350 Farmall in the paint room. Have all the wheels and all tractor body painted. Ready to start on the hoods and grill but have never done a 50 series before. Do you recommend painting the red first and then masking off to paint the white insert or vece versa. Did I read that at one time there was actually a decal produced to apply in this area. Guess I'll wait for your ideas on which way to proceed. We don't have hardly any tractor painters in this area so have to resort doing it myself which is a scarry thought in itself. Migraine

It's a decal, NOT painted. They are still offered by IH. They are listed online at www.cngco.com/oem.decals.html

They should be part number 2750017R1 and 2750018R1.

Why paint??? When a decal is the right way to do the tractor????? ?

I don't know about all models, but I think Ken Updike has mentioned that they are -- I'm sure that if he reads this he will either confirm or deny. I don't have a 30, 40, or 50 series tractor, so no personal experience.

Always do the small area first and don't be picky about masking of the area for the red just spray the white and use a hardner and let set for a couple days and then use real good masking tape and outline the area with a small width tape first then some 3/4 then the paper and tape and shoot the red let tack up and remove the tape and paper as soon as possable so not to pull the white .

Migraine: I had a guy do my 130. He did the white first then masked it to do the red. I remember he wasn't very excited about doing a second one. He was quite pleased the grill came apart.

The white side sheet background decals for the 130 are still offered. Any IH dealer that orders a 2750014R1 and 2750013R1 should get the right parts for you. NO NEED TO PAINT THIS!!!!

Can't find them??? Phone me at 1-866-FARMALL (327-6255) I can hlep.
