Found this on Viscosity's website:

1991: Viscosity continues it's commitment to the same critical factors for success that have drive it for 99 years: Strategically located network of blenders and packagers-- Commitment to product development and quality control - Sales and marketing expertise

"We are prepared to succeed and strive for yet another 100 years."

-- President Jeff Hoch

That was the last update in the timeline.

Then this morning I called Viscosity's main office, 800-621-8792, and asked if I could tour their refinery. Hmmm, they don't have one, they contract with numerous refiners across the country. And in Jeff Hoch's words, they have a network of blenders and packagers in various places. So my question is, what exactly do they do? I stick by my intial statement that Case/IH oil is a bid oil.

All motor oils are blended from base stocks that are very similar in properties for the oil being blended. The additive package is what makes them unique. If Case/IH specifys the additive package for Hy-tran, which in all cases is not made by the oil blender/packager, then any Hy-Tran package you could buy would be the same.

If you do a search and research MSDS sheets for HY TRAN you will find at least 4 refineries around the world that make genuine HY TRAN. One place that I remember is United Arab Emirates Oil Company.
