The "spring " I was talking about was that little tab as you stated that holds the adjusters in place. I am going to rig up a gauge to check the pressure coming out of the brake valve. I will have to find what pressure range gauge I will need. If those adjuster keepers arent keeping the adjuster screw put, will that allow to much compression? Also, when I stack the brake disks's, the 2 plates, AND an insulator disk in the drum(cover)all that stuff is about 1/16-3/32" taller than the cover is deep. Even With the piston fully retracted into the housing I dont see how there can be more than a couple thousanths space in there. So frustrating. I love old red tractors but I am abot ready to trade all 4 of my bigger tractors in for one newer one, but who wants a tractor either locked, or no brakes.
