We can drill all the oil we have and it's still going on the world market and will still be priced by speculation. Did you notice the price jump we had when we went ULSD? When we were using low sulfur diesel the finished product couldn't be used in many countries. Once we went USLD we started shipping the finished product all over the world and that's when diesel price went way up.
We can go back to price regulation on fuel like we had before Richard Nixon took that away. Then it would be regulated like our electric power is. But regulation is a bad word right now.
