A JD 1065 is a eight ton running. If yours has a round tongue it is a straight 1065. If it has a square tongue it is a 1065A. John Deere made one of the best trailing wagon gears ever built.
As for dboll comments below. I have owned Westendorf wagons. They will handle a load ok but if you pull them at more than a walk they will pass you on both road ditches.
That said. I have twenty three JD running gears from light 943s to heavy 1275s. I even have two of the last 720s wagon gears. JD seems to only want to make combines and tractors any more. The stuff marketed under frontier is just everyone elses stuff. The three point blades are Woods. The manure spreaders are H&S. The trouble with it is that JD buys at retail and paints it green and marks it up. You can always buy it cheaper at the original manufacture dealer.
