I just bought a Ford 2000 with a 720 Ford loader and 723 Ford Backhoe with the four cylinder gas engine. Can someone help me with trying to figure out what year it really is. The S/N on the right side is: 21300 and between the two diamonds below that is: 23184. The BH is component I9-300 S/N 4947 and the Loader is I9-249 S/N 4737. It has the 1964 sheet metal design hood and side cowlings and no PTO. I want to get started on the restoration but first I want to be sure what I have. My gut says its a 1965 first series since they made the four cylinder light industrial 64 design into the 1965 year for a short time. It is Blue on the case and the fenders and hood and side cowling is that yellow type color. Any help would be great.
Robert I have photos to post once I figure out how on this site.
