can't beat macfaddens for finding any part you could possibly need...i like the winter and early spring auction when all of the brush is dead and you can take a nice stroll through the tractor graveyard and see everything...
can't beat those mini excavators either...we were thinking about ditching the backhoe and going with a skid steer and mini excavator...but that goes low in the "want" category...too many other needs...
never seen a mower like that either...the gearboxes really seem to go ont he 489...i think barry was going through 1 a year when he was running the 2 489...we run a 479 and a 488 which don't have the floating head but seem to avoid gearbox issues...
never felt the need for a rotary rake...like our 258 and really liked it since we made a double hitch and put an old international behind it...what is the advantage...speed or does it speed up drying time?
if you are up at hand's anytime soon there are 2 advertisements for auctions in the near future there was a pile sitting in the doorway...1 is the same day as macfaddens the other is a couple weeks later...i think both are in the ft. plain area...might be some rotary rakes there...
we'll definitely be at macfaddens...nice and early...try to catch some deals offthe wagon...we are not in "need" of any equip for once...never know though...sometimes a deal comes you can't pass up or you see something you never thought of or thought you'd need...
one of the best buys i ever had at macfaddens was on one of those 3 pt. hitch pallet forks...use 'em all summer for moving stuff around...never would have thought of them until we were walking the lot and said "hey...we could use those"
