As an example, I watched a special a few years ago about sue happy people. As an example, they showed a lady from California that sued everyone for everything everytime they turned around. Little neighbor kids playing in the front lawn at their home, she sued the parents for $$$ claiming that she was worried something would happen to them. Older kids out playing basketball in the drive, she sued their parents for $$$ because the basketball hitting the drive bothered her. But here is the one of several they showed of her alone, is where she got some bad chips out of a vending machine and sued the chip maunfacturer, they company that made the backs holding the chips, the vending company, the guy that put the bags in the machine...in all, sued everyone even remotely involved, including the manufacturer of the van that delivered the chips, and the uniform company that provided the vending guy's uniform. The point was that she targeted everyone betting that they would settle instead of having their names dragged through court, and bad publicity on their behalf. It got to the point that none of her neighbors would even go out into their own yards out of fear she would sue them over something else. However, someone that she sued actually took her to task, and brought her sue happy record into court and they won the case. But they weren't done with her, they then took her back to court snd sued her as a "malicious litegant", and won that case too, which meant that she could not sue anyone ever again in the state of California in any state or local court, but that didn't apply to federal courts. She could still sue in California in a federal court, or in any other state in any court.

Bottom line Stan, they can sue you, who you purchased it from, and on, and on, and on just like Thurmon Monson's widow did when he was killed in a plane crash. He was the NY Yankee catcher during the Yankee dynasty when Reggie Jackson, Craig Nettles, Lou Pinella, Bobby Murcer and a ton of all stars were winning World Series' for Stienbrenner, and Thurmon Monson was not only a great catcher, but almost a guaranteed home run hitter. He bought a plane, crashed it, and died. His widow sued the manufacturer, dealer, trainer, refueling company, and you name it. She missed no one. It happens Stan. It happens.
