Heres the story on the sleeves.I pulled them out sand blasted .Ran them on the cylinder hone and checked them for size.A few had some wear in them ,but this is a parade trator. So the little bit of wear will not hurt a thing. If this was going to be a working tractor I would of replaced them.If I can do a good job re-uses somethings .It helps to keep the cost down.No sense in spending $ 500. bucks on engine kit when I can recycle.Piston also had some stuck and rusted rings.Removed them and scraped groves with a ring broke in half.Makes a good grove cleaner.Washed pistons and rods and installed new rings .I bought them from right here at YT along with some gaskets.Sleeves I got from a buddy that has alot of engine cores.(thanks Eldon).I watched Ebay for awhile and bought one ,but when I cleaned it up it had a hole in it.I guess you just have to watch .So you can find the parts you need.Sleeve seals one set came from YT and the others from Napa.Reason for that is was only going to take the one sleeve out and ended up pullinng all 4.I think so far I'm in this job about $100.00 bucks.Going to touch up the cylinder heads as well.Hope this information helps. Thanks for the replies.Keep the tractor wheels turning.Until next time Good Day.BlaineF(WA)
