: I was wondering if anyone could give me a ballpark figure of what a 1953 super A in good shape, wheelweights allaround, 6ft. snow blade, rear hyd. with a homemade 3pt. hitch and runs good with and has a set of tire chains with it would be worth. Also a 1948 I.H. M in good shape with weather cracked rear tires, a cab, 8ft. front mounted blade, runs and starts great motor rebuilt, and has been kept inside last 20 years only used for a bit of snow ploughing in winters, and the odd antique tractor pull, 3 seconds 1997 and 1 first and 2 seconds 1996. Located in Eastern Ontario Canada. ALSO I would like to apologize to a couple of people who E-mailed me, on a couple of other matters but I had a computer crash and had to format my hard drive so I lost the address to reply so if they contact me again I will reply. Any help on the price of tractors will be appreciated, Thankyou, TERRY DIXON. Was just at a sale in central PA, a month or two ago that sold both a Super A and a Super M. The Super A was nice, not perfect, but nice and ran like a top. Had straight metal, good tires, wheel weights, cultivator and side dresser, as I said, it was "nice", but would have needed quite a bit of detail work to make real nice and a nice new coat of paint. It brought $3,200. I feel that was more than enough for it, however. In restored condition, "maybe", but it seemes plenty high. I would have ballparked it's value to be in the $2,200 to $2,500 range more appropriately. The Super M was also nice and kept inside. Had original (still nice) paint and no attachments that I can recal. It ran well and was overall a very nice original tractor and would have been an easy restore project (my 110 pound wife thought she would look pretty nice on that tractor and thought I should buy it so she could run it in tractor pulls, hee! hee!...(have to know my wife!). Anyway, I believe it brought "around" $2,000, if yours is a normal M in nice shape it would likely bring in that are as well depending on condition. I'm not as knowledgeable of the bigger tractor values, however, so someone else may say different. Hope this helps... Guy
