Well, Im not going to say much right now, but i *may* or may not have recently took a trip that inspired me to tie up some loose ends with my tractor hobby. I officially gave up on my "B" project over a year ago, and scrapped the tractor. I did however keep the rebuilt (although non-running) engine for it, and most of the sheetmetal. I got a partnership with youtube last march, and so i now make a little money off of my videos, and i now have a full metal working shop at school that us students get to use for our projects, as long as we buy the material.
Ive been thinking, about getting my C running, with the B engine, and building custom sheetmetal for it. It would be a sweet project, and something very unique when i'm done with it. And now that i have some money, and im not a broke 14 year old, that i could finally do this right. That'd be nice.
Anyway, i'm about to drag my C up from the field where it has sat for the last 8 months, and take the engine apart, and take the B engine apart, as well. They both got a nice dose of bad gas and then sat out for quite a long time, so i'd have alot of cleaning up to do inside of the engine.
I do remember that the clutch made this horrendous grinding noise when it was pushed in on that tractor. The clutch on the B was questionable. Before i go out and buy a new clutch assembly, i want to know that i need one. Ive never worked on a clutch before, and i do not know anything except the basic theory of how they work.
When i get them off of their tractors, what should i look for/measure, etc??
