I proposed trying to put some tracks together. Did not have anybody take me up when I requested drum/bass tracks and got busy on a paying project here so let it slide. Probably can"t put anything together before Christmas now which was my original plan.
I have put a little more thought into this and think I can make it a little easier to submit tracks if there is enough interest to try this. Pretty sure I can strip the audio from a video file and use it for the recording which should be easier since everybody seems to be up to speed on making videos. It also has the benefit that for most of us the microphones on our cameras are probably better than anything else in the house. It would be a good idea to try NOT to hear the base track as you make your contribution so play it through headphones/earbuds or at least turn the speakers away from your microphone and keep the volume down to a minimum.
So.....instead of a basic drum/bass rhythm track to start I am going to propose that Lou in WI give us a very basic piano track as a base to get started. Since the purpose of this "base" track is only to try to keep timing consistent try to keep the embellishment down and you can submit another track with more "guts". Pick something everybody will know and a key that is singable, I had proposed Silent Night, but now anything goes since it won"t happen before Christmas anyway.

After a few paragraphs I usually close the book and go back to banging out dents. A good friend and I were recently discussing our tractor electrical systems when he stated "I figure it all comes back to applying Ohms Law". At this point
