: : : : if anyone is interisted in talking about tractors and different farming pratices,or just farming in general drop me a line
: : : I allmost e-mailed you but thought I'd better
: : take a public opportunity to apologize for the sometimes rambling idiot that calls himself the Indian Guy. I just spent a day with the BIA wizard of irrigation and laid out a $40,000 plan for the alkali flat I call my own. Hope you have good luck with your IH, Me

: : Think nothing more of it. I said some pretty harsh words in my other article and did not mean a word of it. I too know the advantages of buying something with green paint. My grandad however looks for the bargins. He foud that tractor in a vancant lot and offered $125 for it, the man accepted and he bought it. The engine is the only problem with it. I wouldn't have thought about what caused it if it hadn't been for your little engine walk through, which impressed me. I would like to talk to you via e-mail about other farm related subjects I have been thinking about, If you have the time.

: I can't believe you got such a great deal on the tractor! As far as e-mail I will be here 'til mid June then have a couple of months off unless I sign on for summer school. I'm I don't like the address because it's so long, but it's free. See ya in the funny papers. Me

I didn't see my address on my last post! Help, I'm lost in cyberspace!

Today's Featured Article - Third Brush Generators - by Chris Pratt. While I love straightening sheet metal, cleaning, and painting old tractors, I use every excuse to avoid working on the on the electrics. I find the whole process sheer mystery. I have picked up and attempted to read every auto and farm electrics book with no improvement in the situation. They all seem to start with a chapter entitled "Theory of Electricity". After a few paragraphs I usually close the book and go back to banging out dents. A good friend and I were recently discussing our tractor electrical systems when he stated "I figure it all comes back to applying Ohms Law". At this point ... [Read Article]
