In Iowa when you have a judgement in your favor, and the defendant still doesn't pay, you go back in front of the judge and ask for an "Execution of a Judgement". The defendant is not notified of this proceding. The judge will command the Sheriff to go to the defendants bank and withdraw from his bank account (if he has the money) or go to the defendants residence and seize property of fair market value to satisfy the judgement. The key is you have to go back to the courts to continue the issue.
