Baled some late cut third crop today, or tried to. Wind was so strong that the windrows blew around as soon as the hay was raked. And trying to round bale it with the Hesston was a joke as a lot of it blew off between the pickup and the belts. Guess I'll finish the field tomorrow with squares. Then one more piece to cut back here at the farm. Everyone is cutting anything feedable here this fall- been the 5th dryest April-Oct period since the early 1800s and hay is scarcer than hens teeth!!! Pastures are shorter than a well manicured putting green.
