Hit the 75 year mark back in July.Lost a daughter 58 years young with cervical cancer in December.I guess one NEVER gets over the loss of a family member (when it"s a son/Daughter/wife )or a relative (sp).AS time wore on, the summer came and went with several projects to keep my mind active, up until I think I got a real bad hit on the flu. (No flu shot) Took on the job of excavating a building site with the O.C 46,and was doing ok.up until the exhaust gas got to me real quick. Loss of breath,(oh Yea) I do smoke but the only time I can ever recall such a tough time was in the military with double pneunomia,requiring hospital stay for over 3 weeks.Before this goes to far, I will tell ya I"m not looking for sympathy here just an honest reply from you folks that are my age . Do you feel that life is running on the fast track ?Bad news when the situation comes that when it"s nearly impossible to help the family members with a little work, to ease their efforts. My Son who is doing 98/o of all the work here, and the load keeps comming at him time after time. The Bobcat gave up just when we needed it to load the winters wood on the truck, so My son had to split it with the log spliter, hand throw it on the truck, haul it up the drive,dump it in a pile now has to stack it up under the deck. Were talking 10 cord load. When thats done, he will repair the Bobcat so it can be used next year. It"s an oldie 1965 year, Model 722 gas. We have no idea whats wrong with it and if parts are available. Gonna have to find out. So my questions to you folks who are 75 and better, does life throw more at you quicker now ,then when you were younger and able to expend energy where it was needed? Do you feel left behind by illness and age? How do you handle this set of problems with out throwing in the towell and giving up completly? Now what breaks my heart,is to see my Son doing all the work and me, not being able to help. My health issues are, Insulin dependant diabetes, with Bi lateral neuropathy,asthma,hay fever.So I"m just sitting her wondering if I"m in a boat all by myself. If this rant is to heavy to think on, I can understand. Reguards LOU.
