Last time I looked at a new, well made, non-hydraulic squeeze chute with a self catch headgate , they were around $2500 +/-. I can"t tell you what the one you are looking at is worth "cuz I never heard of that brand.
I have a Mite-E-Handee that"s made in your neck of the woods that cost me $1800 + shipping 14 years ago and works well for us (When I bought it was advertised to fit the biggest bulls but the bulls must have changed a lot since it does not fit our bull. Maybe the claim was bull-(Grin)). If it"s a well made chute and is in like new condition AND it fits your needs you might offer $1000-1500 for it and see. But before you make an offer, check the pricing on new chutes in your area to get an idea of the price range you are talking about for new equipment that meets your needs. Make an initial offer on this "used chute" at 50-60% of a new one that would meet your needs and see what happens. The worst the seller can say is No and that"s painless. he may give you a price he"s hoping for and then you can negotiate.
I see a lot of beat up Powder River chutes that are half weld material that people are ASKING $800-1000 for. Don"t know if they get that, however. (They certainly wouldn"t from me.) Remember these devices are important for safety-your"s and the animals.
