My wife and I took my son to college. The engine ran at 2,500 rpms almost the whole time. it took us around 18 hrs round trip. The engine turned over 2,700,000 times. The pistons went up 1,350,000 times and down another 1,350,000 times. Never thought about it before, but I think it's amazing. Over the life of a vehicle the numbers would be unbelieveable.
