I remember him very well. My uncle John Hetzer was related to him. His name was Kibble. Everyone called him "Yank" or Mr Wiskers. I worked at Reed brothers store in Reedsvilee while I was in highschool. Mr Whiskers came into the store to shop. He bought 6-10 different candy bars, a few bags of chips and 10-12 cans of soda. He paid us the regular price for them. Maurice Reed the owner said, "Uncle Yank how much do you charge for this stuff when you sell it up at your place. Mr whiskers said, I charge only what I pay you. Mr Reed said, "Yank, you can't make any money if you sell it for the same price that pay for it." Mr Whiskers said," That's true, but it's worth something just to be in business!" There are several stories of his excentricity. It brings back great memories and makes me extremely homesick to think of him and my boyhood in Reedsville. I consider my years working in that general store some of the most important years of my life. I loved Maurice and Dohrman Reed almost most as much as I loved my Dad. Maurice died a few years before my dad did and I get to see Dohrman Reed once a year when I go back for a visit. They are related to Mr Whiskers through the Kibbles. (Their mother was Roxie Kibble) He once made the comment that "All us Kibbles is crazy." He was crazy like a fox. I really miss that little town on river hill. Meigs county gave me a great foundation to build on. Kieth, I went to high school with Marvin Keebaugh's oldest daughter. My Dad was master of the Coolville Masonic lodge.
